~ Neil Young - Like a Hurricane
Views: 77912 | | | | | from Unplugged Lyrics Once I thought I saw you in a crowded hazy bar, Dancing on the light from star to star. Far across the moonbeam I know that's who you are, I saw your brown eyes turning once to fire. You are like a hurricane There's calm in your eye. ...More And I'm gettin' blown away To somewhere safer where the feeling stays. I want to love you but I'm getting blown away. I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream, You could have been anyone to me. Before that moment you touched my lips That perfect feeling when time just slips Away between us on our foggy trip. You are like a hurricane There's calm in your eye. And I'm gettin' blown away To somewhere safer where the feeling stays. I want to love you but I'm getting blown away. You are just a dreamer, and I am just a dream. You could have been anyone to me. Before that moment you touched my lips That perfect feeling when time just slips Away between us on our foggy trip. You are like a hurricane There's calm in your eye. And I'm gettin' blown away To somewhere safer where the feeling stays. I want to love you but I'm getting blown away. |

~ NEIL YOUNG & Crazy Horse - Like A Hurricane (Live Rust)
Views: 304643 | | | | | RUST NEVER SLEEPS (1979) Neil Young's 1978 concert tour, do#@!&ented in this acclaimed two-hour film that was directed by Young himself (using the pseudonym Bernard Shakey), is a treat for the singer-songwriter's fans. The concept of the show is high (for ...More Young, anyway), if rather odd: roadies (here called "Road Eyes") decked out like the Tusken Raiders from Star Wars, stage announcements from the original Woodstock during set changes, and giant amps, microphones, and so on for an "Incredible Shrinking Man" effect. Of course, it's the music that counts, and there's plenty of that, what with nearly 20 songs (including two versions of "Hey Hey, My My," his nod to the punk movement), acoustic and electric (with longtime companions Crazy Horse), dating back to his Buffalo Springfield days ("I Am a Child") and continuing through popular solo numbers like "Cinnamon Girl","Powderfinger" and the extended "Like a Hurricane." |

~ NEIL YOUNG LIKE A HURRICANE CINNAMON GIRL LIVE BOSTON 2007
Views: 137422 | | | | | This is part two of two 10 minute pieces. This video contains a great performance, as well as a first person account of the entire experience of going to a concert. My friend Nick and I headed in to Boston on December 3rd 2007 to see if we could get a dec ...More ent deal on scalped tickets to a sold out show. As I often do, I bought along my small portable camera. I had recently purchased a high def Canon TX1. This camera has a decent 10 x zoom, it shoots in Hi- def, and it has stereo sound. It is also small enough to sneak past security on the way in to a show. We got two tickets for a fair price after dealing with a few questionable scalpers. We made sure to keep our blood alcohol level at a satisfactory level. We saw a great show that included both an acoustic first set, intermission, and an electric second set. I apologize to the viewer for the shaky quality of the video. I was sitting in the back of the hall, and had to use the full lenght of the zoom. Also, I had to be carefull of the watchfull eyes of security. On several occasions, I was caught filming, and told to shut the camera off. At one point, security threatened to kick me out. This is guerilla film making. The best part of it is taking the risk to get precious video of a great artist, and then share it on Youtube. I'm glad that I have a chance to do that. Enjoy. TJ Welch |
