My whole family thinks im gay i guess its always been that way. Maybe its cause of the way i walk, that makes them think that i like...boys The goddamn question just wont go away cause i get asked every single day but the way they ask it is no disguise, like "How was your day? Do you like to kiss guys?" This is the worst, baby this was my fear Now their opinions are crystal clear. My whole family now is shocked, I'm in the closet and the door is locked. Now my glory days are gone, I was John Elway now im Elton John. My whole family now suspects, That watching spongebob had side-effects. ~ Queen - Live Aid - Part 1 (1/5)
Views: 4572142 | | | | | 13.07.1985, London (Wembley Stadium), England Most of top artists of that time were present at this mega-famous festival and Queen of course had to be there. Each artist got from ten to twenty minutes for their show; no playback or soundcheck were allowed ...More . Queen hesitated because playing without a soundcheck is always a risk. But then they accepted the rules and their 20 minutes of fame came on at 18:44 GMT. Queen were on top form and not only according to Bob Geldof and Elton John, they stole the show. They played only the intro to Bohemian Rhapsody (the opera part couldn't be played from the tape as playback was forbidden & there wasn't enough time anyway). Instead of the opera part, Radio Ga Ga followed. We Will Rock You was reduced to the first verse (and the final guitar solo) only. Is This The World We Created was performed by Freddie and Brian only later in the evening. 01: Bohemian Rhapsody (Intro) 02: Radio Ga Ga |

Views: 2760289 | | | | | What I gotta do to make you love me? What I gotta do to make you care? What do I do when lightning strikes me? And I wake to find that you're not there? What I gotta do to make you want me? What I gotta do to be heard? What do I say when it's all over? So ...More rry seems to be the hardest word. It's sad, so sad It's a sad, sad situation. And it's getting more and more absurd. It's sad, so sad Why can't we talk it over? Oh it seems to me That sorry seems to be the hardest word. What do I do to make you want me? What I gotta do to be heard? What do I say when it's all over? Sorry seems to be the hardest word. It's sad, so sad It's a sad, sad situation. And it's getting more and more absurd. It's sad, so sad Why can't we talk it over? Oh it seems to me That sorry seems to be the hardest word. Yeh. Sorry What I gotta do to make you love me? What I gotta do to be heard? ~ Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen) - Allison Crowe live performance
Views: 5794548 | | | | | "It's, as I say, a desire to affirm my faith in life, not in some formal religious way but with enthusiasm, with emotion.... It's a rather joyous song." ~ Leonard Cohen, creator of the song, Hallelujah. He says: "I wanted to write something in the traditi ...More on of the hallelujah choruses but from a different point of view... It's the notion that there is no perfection ~ that this is a broken world and we live with broken hearts and broken lives but still that is no alibi for anything. On the contrary, you have to stand up and say hallelujah under those cir#@!&stances." Canadian indie singer-songwriter Allison Crowe's uniquely potent interpretation is heard on her album/CD, "Tidings". music.allisoncrowe.com (The song enjoys increasingly wide appreciation - even marching into the mainstream with performances by American Idol contestants Jason Castro, Lee DeWyze and by UK X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, Dutch X Factor champ Lisa Hordijk, Polish Idol contestant Kasia Popowska, New Jersey rocker Bon Jovi, and Battle of the Blades' skater Claude Lemieux. This popularizing continues - with Maddy Curtis, auditioning in 2010 for American Idol, performing the song, and Matt Morris and Justin Timberlake duetting at the Hope for Haiti event, followed by Céline Dion with the Canadian Tenors' on the Oprah Winfrey Show - the latter a prelude to the 2010 Olympics opening ceremony at which kd lang performed the song. Opera singer Renee Fleming is among the latest to record Hallelujah ... |
