~ Highway of Heroes Canada
Views: 47234 | | | | | This scene is repeated far to often here in Canada. This is my tribute to our fallen Heroes! ---Update 16-May-2010--- Looks like WMG has removed their copyright objection. Thank you to everyone whose comments clearly highlighted the absurdity of their act ...More ions. My heart goes out to the families who endure the loss of their loved ones. Canada grieves with you every step of the way. ---Update 18-Feb-2009--- It is unfortunate that WMG has exercised their rights to protect this copy righted material. I am not sure if there is an option available to allow me to resolve this copyright issue. I am looking to contact the songwriter (Mark Knoplfer) via his web site and through intermediaries. Hopefully there is a solution that will allow this tribute to continue. In the meantime I appreciate the positive responses from this video. Please don't begrudge WMG as I'm sure this was a unilateral move on all potential violations on YouTube. If they actually saw the video I'm confident that would reverse their decision. In the meantime please enjoy the lyrics and remember those soldiers lost.. These mist covered mountains Are a home now for me But my home is the lowlands And always will be Some day you'll return to Your valleys and your farms And you'll no longer burn To be brothers in arm Through these fields of destruction Baptism of fire I've witnessed your suffering As the battles raged higher And though they did hurt me so bad In the fear and alarm You did not desert me My brothers in ... |

~ Memorial Day 2010, Military Tribute, Brothers in Arms, Dire Straits, Performed by TunesNorth.
Views: 12667 | | | | | My Memorial Day 2010, Military Tribute to my Brothers in Arms. A Dire Straits song performed by TunesNorth. Join me on Memorial Day as I pay tribute to our military heroes, to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, National Guard, and Coast Guard. I do ...More not own any of the material used in this video. I only sing my version of Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits fantastic song, Brothers in Arms. I do this, only to pay tribute to my Fallen Brothers and Sisters of Service. I also pay tribute to all our Veterans, and all the brave men and women of Active Duty. And certainly our Great Allied Forces, for they are all my Brothers and Sisters in Arms. From Arlington National Cemetery, and every major city, to every county and small town and village, Americans and our Allies will gather to honor our Fallen Warriors. It is the very least we can do, to show our appreciation, respect and honor for those who died in defense of this Great Nation. Although I did not include Images of the Coast Guard, I do recognize their Great contribution. I am in fact wearing a Coast Guard cap, presented to me by Captain of The Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw. I wrote and sang the song "Cutter Mackinaw" at the Decommissioning Ceremony held here in Sault Ste Marie, Mi. But instead of giving me the normal crewman's cap, he instead gave me a Captain's cap. I was very proud! Also, if you honor, respect and appreciate our Veterans and Fallen. There is something you should see. Check out the Mojave Desert Cross ... |
