MackenzieMichael I always looked at this song as a lament from a man speaking for several veterans who loved their country in spite of how it treated them after returning from the war. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, it's a terrific song! It's just too bad people cannot just enjoy it and not bash the USA.
